Celine near the Pantheon
Ciao Signorine! :)
We are in Roma! 3 very tired and dehydrated girls arrived to the chaos that is Roma at 7am Rome time this morning. We had to wait until 12pm for our hotel so spent and interesting few hours working out what we could do to waste time in Rome before we fainted from tiredness!
We spent time under a tree in a park near the Collesuem, eating some Chinese sweets I had brought in Hong Kong.
In the end, after showering (Celine & me), sleeping (Clare), and chatting with home (me), we decided that we would walk the 5 or so kilometers to Central Historico district, to find a supermarket to buy some sunblock, some bandaids for our bleeding feet (too much walking!), and something for lunch and dinner.
After wandering around the streets of Rome, and checking our Lonely Planet guidebook several times (Celine & Clare did this, I'm hopeless with directions..) we finally found 'Despar' a supermarket. We brought sunblock, bandaid tape and patches, napkins (we can use these as plates) a loaf of bread, some italian sponge fingers, and some rocchetto acetato (salami) Pane tipa azimo (italian bread). We even managed to pay the correct amount despite the lady assuming we were italian and speaking in Italian to us!

Right now it has just started raining and thundering.. we are sipping hot tea, about to eat yoghurt, and then maybe some plain bread for dinner.
